Sonic ID Remix Challenge

To celebrate the FIFAe 2022 Nations Cup, the FIFAe team collaborated with Universal Music to create the FIFAe Sonic ID Remix Challenge. Armed with the stems to FIFAe’s new sonic ID, four independent artists from UMG’s Spinnup distribution platform were given free rein to put their spin on the brand’s audio identity.

The four artists, Afrobeat singer JJ Paulo and EDM pop singer-songwriter Lærke Lærke from Denmark, House producer Salkin from Germany and hip hop artist DANO from Sweden, each created a remix for the competition, which was released on the FIFAe Official Soundtrack EP via Spinnup.

The EP release was supported by a suite of interviews and fun social content posted to the FIFAe and artist channels.

The winning remix, JJ Paulo’s ‘Kazi’ was chosen through a combination of social & streaming figures and a panel of industry judges, and saw him perform live at the FIFAe Nations Cup at the Bella Center in Copenhagen.
