International Women’s Day

In 2019 The Church Studios, the north London studios of GRAMMY & Oscar-winning producer Paul Epworth, teamed up with Foundation FM, Spitfire Audio and SA Recordings to commemorate International Women’s Day.

Held on March 8-9 at The Church, the event addressed gender parity in the music production and audio engineering industry. The event saw some of the industry's most gifted engineers and producers share their knowledge and skills with 30 of their aspiring counterparts through specific workshops, live demonstrations and a panel event in the iconic Studio 1.

The culmination of the two days saw Homay Schmitz record an orchestral track live in Studio 1 which was released via Spitfire’s label – SA Recording – later that month as a part of its new Singles series.

Excited to be a part of this project, I worked closely with The Church management and all partners and contributors to create the event content, handle promotion in the lead-up and capture all social content over the two days.
